Hampden Recreation has three different ways to keep your kids busy during the summer months. Please download the registration packets for a more detailed description of each program. Please remember that all start dates are tentative and dependent upon when the Cumberland Valley School District concludes their school year.
Summer Camp is a camp designed for children who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade and reside within the Cumberland Valley School District. The camp operates out of the Sporting Hill Elementary School, Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. starting TBD and continuing through TBD. Summer Camp is one of our most popular summer programs. It allows campers to build friendships, enjoy the Hampden Pool, enjoy exciting field trips and participate in both competitive and noncompetitive activities all while fostering the concepts of teamwork, good sportsmanship and perseverance.
Adventure camp is for students who have completed 5th - 8th grade. It is located in the Recreation Building Community Room and operates Monday - Thursday from 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. starting TBD and continuing through TBD. Registration by the day allows parents the flexibility of working around your teen's busy schedule. A balance of organized and self directed activities will provide campers just what they're looking for. Weekly field trips, pool time, friends and ping pong are some of the favorites!
The playground program is open to residents and non-resident children ages 3 - 11 years. The program, based out of Creekview Park, will operate Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., starting TBD and continuing through TBD. Parents may sign their children up for the entire summer or a week at a time. Organized activities including arts and crafts, sports, team building and field trips will keep your child safe and entertained!
